Nature preserve in Suntree / Melbourne, FL
Here’s a great opportunity for students looking for Community Service hours supporting a local nonprofit, individuals interested in gardening, and naturalists able to help with invasive plant management and trail maintenance. You can spend as much time as you like, from fifteen minutes to three hours.
**What We’ll Do** – Dig out small Brazilian Pepper trees, cut branches away from the trails, do trail improvements, cut back vines, or weed the gardens. We need volunteers to help maintain this beautiful green space. We are always looking for people to help with maintaining the beauty of our gardens and property. Let us know how you would like to help.
**What to Bring** – Work gloves, loppers, shovel, and/or saw. Wear sneakers or work shoes, long sleeves and pants, and a hat. Also, bring a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat.
**Important to Know** – **We now have restroom facilities (Porta-potty).** The trails are primitive and may have holes, gopher tortoise burrows, and other obstacles, please be cautious. Pets are not allowed.
You can also spend some time enjoying nature and watching the wildlife. We have lots of space for you to get out and enjoy a beautiful walk.
