Neighborhood Natural Area Network iNaturalist ZOOM Event

Hundred Acre Hollows is having a hybrid iNaturalist training with Dr. Mark Hostetler from UF on March 9th at 7 PM. You can attend the training in person at the Springs of Suntree clubhouse, 8300 Holiday Springs Road, Melbourne or via Zoom (see link below). Hundred Acre Hollows has a new project called the iNaturalist Hundred Acre Hollows’ Neighboring Community Network that Dr. Hostetler set up. He is willing to set up other Community Networks near green spaces all over the state. Anyone is welcome to attend to learn more about this project and Community Networks.

This iNaturalist project was created to document the organisms in and around communities that are near the Hundred Acre Hollows in Brevard County, Florida. This iNaturalist project includes the neighborhoods surrounding Hundred Acres Hollows. The Hundred Acre Hollows’ Neighboring Communities Network is part of the Neighborhood Natural Area Network, a collaboration between University of Florida scientists, IFAS extension, and residents in neighborhoods throughout Florida.

We will also be conducting a BioBlitz at Hundred Acre Hollows on March 11th from 9 AM – Noon. We will use what we learn from Dr. Hostetler to practice adding more iNaturalist observations. See the separate Meetup Event.
