Shop at Amazon and Give Back to Hundred Acre Hollows

We are so excited to have been accepted into the Amazon Smile program! This means that you can go to smile.amazon.com and choose Hundred Acre Hollows as the charity you support.

Then, when you want to make a purchase from Amazon, just go to smile.amazon.com to shop and place your order.

It’s that easy!

Need Help Setting Up Your Amazon Smile Charity?

Start by going to smile.amazon.com in your browser of choice. You will see the Amazon homepage. If this is your first visit, you will be prompted to choose a charity. Search for “Hundred Acre Hollows Inc”

If you have already selected another charity but would like to switch to use, you will see your current charity under the search bar. It looks like this, but it will say the name of your currently-selected charity instead.

If you place your cursor over the name or the triangle next to it, a box will appear that looks like this:

But again, with the other charity’s name at the top. Click the blue link that says “Change”.

You will be taken to a new page with popular charities at the top. Under that there is a search box labeled “Or pick your own charitable organization“. Enter Hundred Acre Hollows and click the Search button.

Our name should appear in the resulting list.

Simply click the yellow “Select” button and you’re all set!

Setting up the Amazon App on Your Smart Phone

Some exciting news! Amazon now allows purchases made from the Amazon app on your smart phone to qualify for Amazon Smile!

Just go to the main menu inside the app (the icon with the three lines on it) and tap the Settings link. Then tap AmazonSmile. Tap the button to turn on AmazonSmile and follow the instructions on the next three screens.

You will need to renew this on your app twice a year, but it says they will notify you when it’s needed.

See more on this page at Amazon.

Our Wishlist

One more thing – we also have an Amazon wishlist! View our list and see if you’d like to buy us anything. 🙂 All items are to be used for our junior ranger program, HAH workdays, and educational outreach sessions.

Thank you for your support!

There is now a small trail through the pepper tree There is now a small trail through the pepper trees mainly to show the impact that the pepper trees have. Underneath the pepper trees there are mostly dead sticks and nothing growing, with hardly any biodiversity. This is why it is important to remove invasive plants and plant natives instead!!

Happy Gopher Tortoise Day!!🐢 Here at Hundred Ac Happy Gopher Tortoise Day!!🐢 Here at Hundred Acre Hollows we have 467 active gopher tortoise burrows an increase since our 2020 survey where we measured 407 active gopher tortoise burrows. Gopher tortoises usually use multiple burrows throughout their lives, and the ones they abandon are then used by other animals. Because of this gopher tortoises are a keystone species. Their burrows provide shelter for over 360 other species such as the Florida mouse, snakes, and even owls. Without the gopher tortoise, many species would not exist. For more information check out the gopher tortoise link in the bio!
