The purple passion flower is a Florida native plant that is a short-lived perennial that grows on a vine. The purple passion flower grows mostly along the south side of Hundred Acre Hollows as well as along the southeastern basin. This Florida native plant is also the larval host for many butterfly species such as the Gulf Fritillary, Zebra Longwing, and Red-banded hairstreak.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit acting as caretakers to 114 acres of land in Brevard County. Our vision is to use this land to discover, study, and teach about Florida’s plants and animals to help sustain and enrich lives.
